China Luoyang Bearings Research Institute approved to undertake the work of ISO / TC4 / SC6 and SC11 secretariats

    At the beginning of 2021, the United States offered to give up its two SC secretariats of SC6 "spherical bearing" and SC11 "linear motion rolling bearing" of the technical committee of rolling bearing of international standards organization (hereinafter referred to as ISO / TC4). After learning this information, China Luoyang Bearings Research Institute actively implemented the original intention and mission of the technical centralized Institute of the bearing industry, performed the responsibilities of the Secretariat of the national rolling bearing Standardization Technical Committee and the domestic technical counterpart of ISO / TC4, actively communicated with the National Standards Committee and the ISO / TC4 Secretariat, and proposed to ISO / TC4 the willingness to undertake the two SC secretariats on behalf of China. Through careful preparation of defense materials, China Bearing Research Institute competed fiercely with Japan and other countries, and through research at many TC4 meetings and multiple rounds of voting, it finally won the secretaries of ISO / TC4 / SC6 "spherical bearing" and ISO / TC4 / SC11 "linear motion rolling bearing" on behalf of China. From 2022, China will take over the Secretariat of ISO / TC4 / SC6 and SC11 from the United States, and the experts of China Bearings Research Institute will also take over the posts of chairman and committee manager of the two SC.

    After the Secretariat adjustment, China has the same number of secretariats as Sweden and Germany, two world bearing powers (two in Sweden, two in Germany, two in China, one in France and one in Japan).
